Statistical Intervals: A Guide for Practitioners
Hahn, Jerald and W. Q. Meeker (1991) "Statistical Intervals: A Guide for Practitioners", (ISBN 0-471-88769-2)
Comments:
This is the best book of statistical intervals available for the general practitioner. Hahn and Meeker differentiate between confidence intervals, prediction intervals, and tolerance intervals. They cover both parametric and nonparametric intervals and do a good job of covering the assumptions associated with each type of interval covered. They do a particularly excellent job of distinguishing between analytical and enumerative sampling plans. (2.
